EODUB "Share Your Sound" MC Challenge Finals! Sponsored by Diesel | End of the Weak

This is the End of the Weak "Share Your Sound" MC Challenge Finals, sponsored by Diesel. Finalists include: @feelingdizzy.wav @cablewraps @maroonwaters @thenotorious_red @justspellbasics The challenge is made up of 5 rounds. Written , A Capela, Beat Juggling, Grab Bag and Cypher. Each contestant must go through each round showcasing their skills to be judged by a panel at the end. To get to the Finals, MC’s had to first be selected in one of three qualifying rounds based on an Instagram Reels submission. From there, 21 semi-finalists were given a prize pack from Diesel and a sealed virtual grab bag card stack to complete their Round 4 submission. 5 MC’s were then selected to be finalists. Tonight’s winner will receive $5,000, second place $2,500, and third place $1,250. For over 21 years EODUB has been a stepping stone for some of Hip Hops Elite MC’s. We’ve had artists like Mickey Facts, Ice T, Math Hoffa, Justina Valentine, Immortal Technique, KRS-one, Jin, Gorilla Nems, Iron Solomon plus dozens more hit our stage. In fact, what once started in the back of a restaurant in lower east side Manhattan, is now a Global International Competition and the definitive measure of a MC’s skills. With that said Eodub has moved to online content in order to continue the movement. Thanks to Diesel, we were able to host a Virtual MC Challenge where MC’s from all over the US and Canada could "Share Your Sound" and participate using instagram reels remix feature. We had 3 qualifying rounds giving MC’s three chances to be selected. Each round produced 7 winners totalling 21 semi finalists that were given a prize pack from Diesel and the opportunity to compete in round four. 5 MC’s were then selected to be finalists. OSYRIS ANTHAM ROUNDS • End of the Weak 2019 US Emcee Challenge

This is an edited version of my live stream of the EOW US EMCEE CHALLENGE. Recorded live on Periscope at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory. Osiris Antham was defending his two-time US & World titles with a chance to go to Belgium. For those of you who have followed me and my journey in the NYC art scene, you know I always credit Nasiyr, better known as Osyris Antham, for me even becoming a member of Legendary Cyphers and becoming acquainted with most of the artists that I know today. From the first time I heard him rap at Nicholas Brooklyn, a small African-centered variety shop, I immediately recognized his talent. I bring this up because recently well-respected Emcee and Grammy-nominated lyricist has championed Osyris as one of the best Emcees in the world. Even putting his well-respected opinion on the line against veteran Emcee and Detroit native Royce Da 5’9”. So I thought it would be only right to bring back this moment I happened to be present and personally documenting for the culture. Below you can see the rounds for Osyris’ third U.S. title defense where he destroyed his competition in front of no other than Lupe Fiasco himself.
